The 2011 Bell Aliant Celebrity Dinner, part of the Summerside Lobster Carnival Presented by Red Shores at Summerside,Sunday, July 10 at the Royal Canadian Legion in Summerside.

Confirmed head table guests for the prestigious event include:

Rick Middleton’s career included positions with the New York Rangers and Boston Bruins. His best season was in ?81-?82 where Middleton scored a career high 51 goals, won the Lady Byng Trophy for excellence and sportsmanship, and was named to the NHL’s Second All-Star Team. Middleton also starred in international play and played for Team Canada in the Canada Cup in 1981 and 1984.

Summerside native Jim Clark will be in attendance, and is the former assistant general manager of the Columbus Blue Jackets. Clark is now scouting for the Ottawa Senators.

Pat McIver is the director of hockey and business operations for the Summerside Western Capitals. The Capitals won the Kent Cup as part of the Maritime Junior Hockey League championship series earlier this year.

Summerside native George Matthews is recognized as an animated radio play-by-play announcer, duties he performed for the Columbus Blue Jackets throughout the 2000?s. He is known for his passionate broadcast style and his penchant for rhyme.
